snipe,狙擊，伏擊，-er,人。

中世紀英國人生活其實很苦，沒啥肉可吃，但是森林多，所以時不時捕鳥解解饞。但是snipe [snaɪp] n.鷸鳥，感覺異常靈敏，所以很不好捉到，即使步槍發明後，槍手也需要隱蔽的很好才可能不被發現，所以sniper狙擊手（獵捕snipe之人），多單獨活動，用樹枝和山石等來隱蔽。
